The Emmanuel Cares Development Scholarships
WHO CAN EVER FORGET THEIR HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION DAY?
That once in a lifetime celebration and rite of passage where youth and their family and friends gather with District officials, administrators, and teachers to recognize the academic achievements of their High School Seniors.
Many graduates have dreams of continuing their educational journey after High School but for many in the Northeast portion of Houston, Texas these hopeful dreams fade into oblivion when students and their families come face-to-face with the rising costs associated with pursuing a higher education.
Emmanuel Cares CDC believes that we can make a difference. We can make a difference by offering these High School Seniors the opportunity to apply for the Carolyn Richardson Scholarship for young ladies and the Elijah Easley Scholarship for young men. These scholarships will help to reduce financial hardship for low-income families preparing to send members to college or some other institution of higher learning.
Each Scholarship will range from $1,000+ and are designed as supplemental funding to help to fill ”unmet” financial aid needs of $1,000 or more.
Note – Scholarship awards may vary from year to year and are based on:
Year-round fund-raising efforts
Annual Scholarship Gala
Generous contributions of individual and corporate donors
Grants awarded
Applications Closed for the 24 – 25 School Year
